The CD was recorded in March and April this year, the process being supervised by choir's artistic director, head conductor Māris Sirmais and conductor Jānis Liepiņš, with the help of sound editor Normunds Slava. As many times before, the author of the design is the famous Latvian artist Ilmārs Blumbergs. The album is produced by Youth Choir "Kamēr..." and SIA "ADD projekts".

Commenting on the release, Māris Sirmais admits that supplementing Latvian choir music repository is one of the objectives "Kamēr..." has had since it's foundation in 1990. He adds that the choice of the contemporary Latvian composer dedications for the anniversary repertoire was rather logical, as it is purely natural that the theme of love is always something close for these young singers.

Pieces specially for "Kamēr..." were composed by Kārlis Lācis, Zigmars Liepiņš, Juris Vaivods, Rihards Dubra, Arturs Maskats, Ēriks Ešenvalds, Valts Pūce and Renārs Kaupers. All the new madrigals were performed live in the anniversary concert on 3rd April together with pieces by classical madrigal composers such as Claudio Monteverdi, John Farmer, Carlo Gesualdo, Robert Lucas Pearsall, Johann Herman Schein, Pierre Passereau and Marģeris Zariņš, all of these being included in the CD as well.

As Maris Sirmais emphasizes, it is as important to commission and perform new compositions as to record and publish them. This way the songs start their own life in a wider range, both geographically and musically. By spreading the new compositions in the world, both new audiences abroad are reached and new interpretations are to be found in the pieces "Kamēr..." had been honored to sing in world premiere occasions. "Kamēr..." is most grateful to their long lasting partners Lattelecom, Latvenergo and the City Council of Riga - only with their support this important mission can be accomplished.

The presentation event for the CD will be held today, and the new record is to be found in the biggest music record shops in Latvia starting 2nd June.
